Description

The Pure Distilling Reflux Kit combines the equipment, ingredients and accessories needed to ferment, distil, filter and flavour your own neutral spirit in one comprehensive package.

Built around the Pure Distilling copper Reflux Condenser and 30 litre heated boiler, the kit also includes filtration equipment, measuring instruments, fermentation ingredients, cleaning products and a selection of Pure Distilling flavourings.

As a result, it provides a convenient way to set up a complete reflux distilling system without purchasing each major component separately.

Pure Distilling Reflux Condenser

The included Pure Distilling Reflux Condenser forms the heart of the distilling system.

Designed for producing clean neutral spirit, the copper condenser features a high-yield output tap and connects to the supplied cooling water tubing and hose connectors.

In addition, the kit includes three plastic hose connectors and approximately four metres of 12.5mm clear vinyl tubing for setting up the required water connections.

30 Litre Heated Boiler

The Pure Distilling 30L Boiler provides the heated boiler for the reflux system.

Its generous capacity suits larger wash volumes than compact benchtop stills. When combined with the Pure Distilling Reflux Condenser, it creates the main equipment required for reflux distillation.

Furthermore, a 60cm stirring paddle comes with the kit for preparing and mixing your wash.

Fermentation Ingredients

The package includes a selection of Pure Distilling products to help prepare a suitable wash before distillation.

For example, included consumables consist of:

• Premium Spirit Yeast
• Crystal Clear
• Spirit Enhancer
• Distilling Conditioner

Together, these products support fermentation, clearing and preparation of the wash before it enters the boiler.

Measure Your Wash and Spirit

Several useful measuring instruments also come standard with the system.

For example, a hydrometer allows you to take measurements during the fermentation process, while the supplied alcometer helps you measure the alcohol percentage of suitable distilled spirit.

In addition, the kit includes a distilling thermometer with alarm, giving you another useful instrument for monitoring your equipment during operation.

Smart Filter System

After distillation, the supplied Smart Filter provides a dedicated filtration stage for suitable neutral spirit.

In particular, the filter features stainless steel internal components, a stainless steel plug and a filter cartridge.

Therefore, you can filter your neutral spirit before moving on to dilution and flavouring.

Pure Distilling Flavourings

Once you have produced and prepared your neutral spirit, the included flavourings give you several options for creating finished spirit styles.

Specifically, the package contains:

• Six Pure Distilling Essences
• One Pure Distilling Top Up

As a result, this selection provides an easy introduction to the Pure Distilling flavouring range while allowing you to try several different finished spirit styles.

Cleaning Equipment

Good equipment cleaning forms an important part of the fermentation and distilling process.

For this reason, the kit also includes Brewmaster Sterilising Detergent for cleaning suitable equipment.
