The Red Ball Lock Plastic Carbonation Cap – Gas provides a convenient ball lock connection for compatible PET bottles and pressure vessels.
Its red colour helps identify the connection as gas-in. Therefore, you can quickly distinguish it from yellow liquid-out connections in colour-coded kegging and pressure systems.
Red Gas-In Identification
Red commonly identifies the gas side of a colour-coded ball lock setup. As a result, this cap provides a quick visual reference when both gas and liquid connections are present.
For an easy reminder: Danger Red = Gas.
PCO 1881 Bottle Thread
The cap uses a PCO 1881 thread, which is common on compatible soft-drink and Coke-style PET bottles.
In addition, it fits compatible FermZilla lids and other equipment designed to accept this thread.
Ball Lock Gas Connection
The top of the cap provides a ball lock post connection. Therefore, you can attach a suitable gas ball lock disconnect for carbonation and other gas-side applications.
As a result, the cap suits a range of home brewing and kegging tasks that require a removable gas connection.
Black Eyed Poppet
The cap uses a Black Eyed poppet with a sanitary one-piece sealing design.
Unlike older designs that rely on a small separate poppet O-ring, this design incorporates the seal into the poppet. Therefore, there is no separate small poppet O-ring to replace.
Duotight Compatible Connection
The rear of the carbonation cap accepts a compatible Duotight fitting. Therefore, you can connect suitable tubing after installing the correct fitting.
However, the Duotight fitting is not included with the carbonation cap.
