Still Spirits Turbo Carbon

Description

Still Spirits Turbo Carbon is an activated carbon treatment designed to help improve the quality of your fermented spirit wash. Added during fermentation, it absorbs unwanted impurities and helps produce a cleaner wash before distillation.

Unlike carbon filtration products used after distillation, Turbo Carbon goes directly into your fermentation vessel alongside your chosen Turbo Yeast.

As fermentation progresses, the activated carbon captures unwanted compounds that may otherwise affect the taste and aroma of your finished spirit.

For best results, you must remove the carbon and trapped impurities from the wash with a suitable clearing agent before distillation.

Activated Carbon Treatment During Fermentation

Still Spirits Turbo Carbon works throughout the fermentation process rather than filtering the finished spirit afterwards.

Simply add it to your fermentation vessel immediately after adding your chosen Turbo Yeast. Then stir thoroughly to disperse the activated carbon throughout the wash.

During fermentation, the carbon absorbs unwanted compounds from the wash. As a result, it helps prepare a cleaner fermented wash for the clearing stage.

Use with Still Spirits Turbo Clear

Once fermentation has completely finished, use Still Spirits Turbo Clear to remove the carbon, unwanted yeast cells and other suspended material from the wash.

Turbo Carbon and Turbo Clear therefore perform two different but complementary jobs.

Instructions

1. Before opening, massage the sachet to remove any lumps.
2. Add Turbo Carbon immediately after adding your chosen Turbo Yeast.
3. Stir thoroughly to disperse the activated carbon throughout the wash.
4. Allow fermentation to complete.
5. Once fermentation has finished, clear the wash before distillation.

Important – Clear Your Wash Before Distillation

Always use Still Spirits Turbo Clear or another suitable Clearing Agent after fermentation to remove the activated carbon and trapped impurities before distillation.

If you leave the carbon in the wash, boiling may release some of the impurities it has absorbed. Consequently, this can reduce the effectiveness of the carbon treatment and may affect the quality of your finished spirit.
