Description

Still Spirits Turbo Clear is a two-part clearing agent designed to remove unwanted yeast and suspended particles from your fermented wash before distillation.

The combination of Part A and Part B helps settle unwanted compounds to the bottom of the fermenter. As a result, you can transfer a clearer wash while leaving much of the settled material behind.

Turbo Clear works in approximately 24 hours and is suitable for clearing a single 25–30 litre fermentation.

Why Clear Your Wash Before Distillation?

Even after fermentation has finished, unwanted yeast cells and other suspended particles can remain throughout the wash.

Clearing helps these particles settle before you transfer the wash for distillation. Therefore, fewer unwanted solids enter your boiler with the cleared wash.

For best results, make sure fermentation has completely finished and thoroughly degas the wash before adding Turbo Clear.

Two-Part Clearing System

Still Spirits Turbo Clear contains Part A and Part B, which work together during the clearing process.

Add each part according to the manufacturer’s instructions. Then allow approximately 24 hours for the clearing process to take place.

Once the unwanted particles have settled, carefully transfer the cleared wash while leaving the sediment behind.

Turbo Clear is particularly useful when you have used Still Spirits Turbo Carbon during fermentation.

Turbo Carbon helps absorb unwanted compounds while your wash ferments. However, you must remove the carbon and the impurities it has captured before distillation.

After fermentation, Turbo Clear helps settle the activated carbon, unwanted yeast cells and other suspended material. Consequently, the two products work together as part of the wash preparation process.

How to Use

1. Ensure fermentation has completely finished.
2. Thoroughly degas the fermented wash.
3. Add Part A according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
4. Add Part B according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
5. Allow sufficient time for the unwanted particles to settle.
6. Clearing typically takes approximately 24 hours.
7. Carefully transfer the cleared wash while leaving the settled sediment behind.

For best results, avoid disturbing the sediment when transferring your cleared wash.
