The Ball Lock Keg Post O-Ring – Red Gas is a colour-coded silicone replacement seal for the gas-in post on compatible Cornelius-style ball lock kegs.

The red colour identifies the gas connection, making it easier to distinguish the gas-in post from the liquid-out post at a glance.

Compatible Gas Ball Lock Post

This red O-ring suits our Ball Lock Keg Gas Post – 19/32″.

The O-ring fits around the outside of the post and provides the sealing surface for the gas ball lock disconnect. As a result, keeping the O-ring in good condition helps maintain a reliable connection.

Silicone Post O-Ring

This post O-ring uses silicone rather than the LOW2 material found on some other keg seals.

A keg post O-ring works as a radial seal and needs to recover its shape as disconnects are attached and removed. Therefore, silicone is well suited to this application because of its spring-back characteristics.

Use Food Grade Lubricant

Regular lubrication can help reduce wear on the post O-ring. In addition, it can make the gas ball lock disconnect easier to attach and remove.

Apply a small amount of suitable lubricant during routine keg servicing. In particular, lubrication is useful after deep cleaning or whenever the O-ring feels dry.
