Description
The Ball Lock Keg Poppet & Spring – LOW2 is a replacement valve assembly for compatible ball lock keg posts.
This two-piece assembly combines KegLand’s Black Eyed LOW2 poppet with an upgraded heavy-duty spring. It suits both compatible gas-in and liquid-out ball lock posts.
Sold individually – one poppet and one spring supplied.
LOW2 Black Eyed Poppet
The Black Eyed poppet uses an overmoulded LOW2 design. Therefore, the poppet itself forms the sealing surface rather than relying on a separate small poppet O-ring.
This design helps reduce problems caused by traditional poppet O-rings becoming loose, damaged or displaced. In addition, the slightly concave centre helps guide the pin of a ball lock disconnect towards the centre of the poppet.
Heavy-Duty Spring
Each poppet comes with its matching heavy-duty spring.
The spring pushes the poppet against its sealing surface when the disconnect is removed. As a result, the post valve closes and seals when the keg is disconnected from the dispensing system.
Compatible Gas and Liquid Posts
This poppet and spring suits our Ball Lock Keg Gas Post – 19/32″ and Ball Lock Keg Liquid Post – 19/32″.
Therefore, the same replacement poppet and spring can service either compatible post.
However, keg posts vary between manufacturers and older keg designs. Check compatibility before fitting this assembly to an older or second-hand post.

LOW2 Seal Material
KegLand LOW2 components use a specialised blend of synthetic M-Class and cross-linked elastomers.
Compared with conventional silicone seals, this material provides improved oxygen barrier properties. In addition, the overmoulded design eliminates the separate small O-ring traditionally fitted to the poppet.
