Description

The Ball Lock Keg Lid with PRV & LOW2 O-Ring is a complete replacement lid for compatible Cornelius-style ball lock kegs.

Made from stainless steel, the lid comes fitted with a ring-pull pressure relief valve and a yellow LOW2 lid O-ring. It also includes an internal hook for attaching a suitable hop bomb, hop tube or similar accessory.

This replacement lid suits our 19L Ball Lock Keg – Stainless Steel and 9.5L Ball Lock Keg – Stainless Steel.

Complete Replacement Keg Lid

The lid provides a convenient replacement when servicing a compatible Cornelius-style keg.

Rather than replacing the lid components separately, you receive the stainless steel lid together with its PRV and LOW2 sealing O-ring.

The swing-arm assembly applies pressure to the lid when closed, helping the O-ring seal against the keg opening.

Yellow LOW2 Lid O-Ring

A yellow LOW2 O-ring comes fitted to the lid.

LOW2 seals use a synthetic M-Class cross-linked elastomer that provides improved oxygen barrier properties compared with conventional silicone keg lid seals.

Therefore, you can replace the complete lid assembly when necessary or simply service the lid seal separately when the existing lid remains in good condition.

Ring-Pull Pressure Relief Valve

The lid includes a ring-pull pressure relief valve.

This valve provides pressure relief and also allows keg pressure to be released manually when required.

If the PRV becomes worn or damaged, it can be replaced separately without replacing the complete lid.

Internal Accessory Hook

The underside of the lid includes a hook for attaching a suitable hop bomb, hop tube or flavour infuser inside the keg.

This feature can be useful when adding hops or other suitable ingredients while keeping the attachment suspended from the keg lid.

Hop tube or hop bomb is not included.

However, Cornelius-style kegs have been produced in different designs over the years. Therefore, check the lid shape and compatibility before fitting it to an older or second-hand keg.

Replacement Parts & Maintenance

Several components of the lid can be serviced separately. Therefore, you may not need to replace the complete lid when only one component becomes worn or damaged.

Replacement parts include:

• LOW2 Ball Lock Keg Lid O-Ring – replacement yellow sealing O-ring for the keg lid.
• Ball Lock Keg Pressure Relief Valve – Grey 100 PSI – replacement ring-pull PRV for the lid.
• Ball Lock Keg Lid Foot – replacement foot for the swing-arm lid assembly.
