Description

The BIAB Hop Sock 15 x 80cm is a reusable polyester brewing bag for hops, malted grain, spices and other brewing additions. Its long tube design allows you to use it whole or cut it into smaller sections to create custom-sized hop bags.

Use it for dry hopping, adding hops during the boil or steeping grain and spices. The bag keeps brewing additions contained while still allowing them to infuse into your brew.

Cut and Tie to Suit Your Brew

At 800mm long, this Hop Sock gives you plenty of flexibility. Cut it in half, thirds or quarters depending on the size of bag you need.

Simply tie one end, add your hops, grain or spices, then tie the other end securely. You can then add the bag to your boiler, kettle or fermenter.

When filling with hops, leave plenty of spare room inside the bag. Hops expand as they absorb liquid, so avoid packing the bag too tightly.

Help Keep Brewing Equipment Clear

Bagging hops is particularly useful when brewing heavily hopped beers such as NEIPA and DIPA.

Keeping loose hop material contained can reduce the amount of debris reaching ball valves, pumps and plate heat exchangers. It also makes cleaning your brewing equipment easier after use.

Reusable Polyester Hop Sock

The polyester material is rated for temperatures up to 110°C and can be reused.

After use, rinse away loose brewing material and soak the Hop Sock in a suitable sodium percarbonate cleaning solution. Rinse thoroughly and allow it to dry before storing.
