T90 Hop Pellets

T90 hop pellets give home brewers a convenient and consistent way to add bitterness, flavour and aroma to beer. With a wide range of hop varieties available, you can choose hops for everything from traditional lagers and ales through to hop-forward pale ales, IPAs and modern craft beer styles.

At Discount Home Brew Supplies, our T90 hop pellet range includes varieties for bittering, flavour, aroma, whirlpool additions and dry hopping. Each hop brings its own character. For example, different varieties can offer citrus, tropical fruit, stone fruit, floral, herbal, spicy, earthy, pine or resinous notes.

What Are T90 Hop Pellets?

Producers make T90 hop pellets by milling dried hop cones and pressing the hop material into compact pellets. As a result, brewers can easily store, measure and add them throughout the brewing process.

T90 pellets contain the natural hop material. Therefore, they offer a versatile choice for both home and commercial brewing.

Choosing Hop Pellets

Different hop varieties offer different levels of bitterness, flavour and aroma. Some varieties work especially well for bittering, while others provide distinctive aroma. In addition, many modern varieties work well as dual-purpose hops, allowing brewers to use them at several stages of the brewing process.

Alpha acid levels can vary between crops and batches. Therefore, check the alpha acid information on the individual product or packaging when calculating bitterness for your recipe.

Hop Pellet Pack Sizes

Our hop pellets come in:

  • 100 g
  • 250 g
  • 500 g

Choose a smaller pack for individual recipes. Alternatively, choose a larger pack if you regularly brew with a favourite hop variety.

Using Hop Pellets in Beer Making

You can add hop pellets at different stages of the brewing process depending on the result you want.

For example, early boil additions primarily contribute bitterness. Later additions can increase hop flavour and aroma. Meanwhile, whirlpool and dry-hop additions can create a stronger aromatic hop character.

The amount and timing will depend on the hop variety, alpha acid level, beer style and recipe. Therefore, adjust your hop additions to suit the beer you want to brew.
