Challenger T90 Hop Pellets are a classic English dual-purpose hop known for smooth bitterness and a balanced combination of spicy, floral and fruity character.
Challenger works well throughout the brewing process. When used early in the boil, it provides a clean and rounded bitterness. Meanwhile, later additions bring forward more of its floral, spicy and gently fruity qualities.
Its traditional English character makes Challenger particularly useful in malt-driven ales. However, its versatility also allows brewers to use it in darker beers and other styles where balanced hop flavour is preferred over an intense modern hop profile.
