Testing & Transfer Equipment

Our home brew testing equipment helps you measure fermentation and alcohol strength, while our liquid transfer equipment makes moving beer, wine and cider between vessels easier.

The range includes hydrometers, alcometers, testing vessels and siphon equipment for different stages of home brewing and spirit making.

Hydrometers & Fermentation Testing

A hydrometer is a useful tool for monitoring fermentation. By taking specific gravity readings, you can follow fermentation progress and determine when your brew has reached a stable final gravity.

Our testing range includes the Hydrometer 3 Scale together with the compatible 10″ Hydrometer & Alcometer Trial Jar.

Alcometers & Alcohol Testing

Alcometers measure alcohol strength in a clean alcohol and water mixture. They should be used before flavourings, glucose, sugar or other ingredients are added, as these can affect the reading.

Choose the Large Alcometer 0–100% with the 10″ trial jar, or the compact Short Alcometer 0–100% with its compatible 100ml Plastic Test Tube.

Home Brew Transfer Equipment

Once your brew is ready to move, siphon equipment provides a convenient way to transfer liquid between suitable vessels.

Our Easy Siphon uses a simple pumping action to start the flow. For smaller vessels, the compact Easy Siphon 350mmprovides another option.

Both models can be paired with the Easy Siphon 3/8″ Clip to help secure the siphon to the side of a suitable vessel during transfer.
