Still Spirits Air Still Carbon Cartridge is a replacement activated carbon cartridge designed for filtering distilled spirit. It helps remove unwanted flavours, aromas and impurities from alcohol to produce a cleaner, smoother spirit before flavouring or finishing.

The cartridge contains activated carbon that adsorbs unwanted compounds as the spirit passes through the filter. This provides a simple way to polish neutral alcohol after distillation and improve the character of the finished spirit.

Carbon Filtration

Activated carbon provides a large surface area that helps capture unwanted compounds from distilled alcohol during filtration.

For best results, prepare and filter your spirit according to the instructions for your filtration equipment. Replace the carbon cartridge when required rather than continuing to use an exhausted cartridge, as its filtration effectiveness will decrease with use.

Replacement Air Still Washers

The carbon cartridge requires two sealing washers, with one fitted on either side of the cartridge. These help maintain the correct fit during filtration.

Over time, the washers can become compressed and lose their original thickness. Check their condition whenever changing the cartridge and replace them as a pair when necessary.

Replacement Air Still Washers are available in a convenient pack of 10, providing five replacement pairs.
