Description
The MaltMuncher Grain Mill 2 Roller gives home brewers an adjustable way to crush malted barley, wheat and rye. Cold steel rollers and a reinforced 6061 aluminium chassis create a solid setup for milling grain fresh before brewing.
You can adjust the rollers to suit your grain bill and brewing system. In addition, the 12 TPI knurl helps draw grain through the rollers while keeping the husks intact. As a result, the husks can form an effective filter bed during sparging.
Manual or Drill Powered
You can operate the MaltMuncher Grain Mill 2 Roller by hand with the included manual crank. Alternatively, connect a suitable drill to the 10 mm crank shaft for powered milling.
When using a drill, keep the speed low. Around 200 RPM is recommended because excessive speed can generate heat and reduce milling performance. Therefore, use only enough drill speed to keep the rollers turning and the grain feeding smoothly.

Note: The grain hopper comes with a protective blue film. Remove this film before assembly.
Care & Cleaning
Always mill your grain dry and keep the rollers away from water. Moisture can cause the knurled steel rollers to rust early.
After milling, brush away any remaining grain and dust. You can also use compressed air from time to time to keep the rollers and milling area clean.
Finally, only use this mill with malted barley, wheat and rye. Milling other materials may damage the unit.
