Still Spirits Large Copper Parrot Head

Description

The Still Spirits Large Copper Parrot Head allows you to monitor the alcohol percentage of your distillate continuously during distillation. Designed for the T500 Reflux Still, T500 Alembic Pot Still and other large stills, it provides a convenient way to track changes in ABV without repeatedly taking separate samples.

By placing a compatible alcometer inside the Parrot Head, distillate flows around the instrument as it leaves the condenser. As a result, you can monitor the changing alcohol percentage throughout the run and use this information to help determine when to make cuts or stop the distillation.

Monitor ABV During Distillation

Instead of stopping to transfer samples into a separate test vessel, the Large Copper Parrot Head allows the distillate to flow continuously around your alcometer.

Therefore, changes in alcohol percentage can be monitored as the distillation progresses. This provides useful information when assessing the progress and quality of the distillate throughout the run.

Two Simple Collection Methods

The Parrot Head can be used in two ways depending on your distilling setup.

Firstly, you can position the unit beneath the condenser and allow the distillate to drip directly into the collection cone.

Alternatively, connect the Parrot Head collection pipe to the distillate outlet tubing on a compatible condenser.

In either setup, the distillate fills the Parrot Head body before flowing from the outlet into your collection vessel.

High-Quality Copper Construction

The Large Parrot Head features high-quality copper construction together with a moulded copper base.

As a result, the assembled unit can sit securely on a suitable bench or table beside your distilling equipment.

Alcometer Compatibility

The Large Copper Parrot Head accepts compatible alcometers measuring less than 23mm in diameter.

The unit will read no greater than 252mm from the base of the alcometer, so check the dimensions of your alcometer before use.

Please note that an alcometer is not included.
