The Create+ Threaded Adapter Set converts a DN40 or 1½ inch BSPP threaded connection to a 2 inch tri-clamp connection. As a result, you can connect compatible existing Still Spirits Alembic or T500 equipment to newer 2 inch tri-clamp distilling accessories.
This adapter set provides a practical way to integrate suitable threaded equipment into the modular Create+ system without replacing the entire distilling setup.
Convert Threaded Equipment to 2 Inch Tri-Clamp
Many earlier Still Spirits distilling components use a DN40 threaded connection rather than the 2 inch tri-clamp connection found throughout the Create+ range.
Therefore, the Create+ Threaded Adapter Set provides the connection required to bridge these two systems.
Simply fit the adapter to compatible DN40 or 1½ inch BSPP threaded equipment. You can then connect suitable 2 inch tri-clamp accessories to the adapter.
Compatible with Still Spirits Equipment
The Threaded Adapter Set allows compatible existing Still Spirits Alembic and T500 equipment to connect with suitable 2 inch tri-clamp accessories.
For example, it can provide an upgrade path for compatible threaded equipment when adding newer Create+ components.
However, compatibility depends on the equipment and configuration being used. Therefore, refer to the manufacturer instructions before converting your specific setup.
304-Grade Stainless Steel Construction
The 2 inch Tri-Clamp to DN40 Threaded Adapter uses durable 304-grade stainless steel construction.
In addition, the set includes high-temperature resistant food-grade silicone components for use with compatible distilling equipment.
Together, these components provide a secure connection between the threaded equipment and compatible tri-clamp accessories.
Equipment Load Limits
The Create+ Threaded Adapter Set is designed primarily for small to medium-sized distilling setups without excessively heavy or off-centre attachments.
When fitted to a compatible Still Spirits Boiler 25 L lid or Alembic Copper Dome, the adapter supports equipment within the manufacturer’s specified limits.
These limits include:
- Total column and condenser height up to 1.1m from the boiler lid or dome
- Total column and condenser weight up to 11kg
- Up to 2kg of off-centre weight from a swan neck, lyne arm or parallel condenser
- Maximum off-centre distance of 160mm from the main column
Therefore, always consider the total height, weight and balance of the assembled equipment before use.
Alembic Copper Condenser Compatibility
The Create+ Threaded Adapter Set is suitable only for Still Spirits Alembic Copper Condensers sold from 2019 onwards.
Consequently, owners of older Alembic equipment should confirm the age and compatibility of their condenser before using this adapter set.
