Still Spirits Air Still Washers are replacement polyethylene washers designed for use with Air Still Carbon Cartridges. They help maintain a secure fit around the carbon cartridge during spirit filtration without tainting the alcohol.

Each carbon cartridge requires two washers, with one fitted on either side. Over time, repeated use can compress the material and reduce its original thickness. Replacing worn washers helps maintain the correct fit when installing a fresh carbon cartridge.

When to Replace the Filter Washers

Check the washers whenever you replace your carbon cartridge. If they remain compressed and no longer return to their normal thickness, replace them with a fresh pair.

A worn washer may no longer provide the same fit around the cartridge. Keeping fresh replacements available also makes it easy to change the washers when installing a new cartridge rather than reusing components that have become permanently compressed.
