Still Spirits T500 Crimped Temperature Sensor

Description

The Still Spirits T500 Crimped Temperature Sensor is a replacement digital thermometer and probe for compatible original-style Still Spirits T500 condensers. It features a crimped stainless steel probe connected by Teflon-coated wire for monitoring condenser cooling-water outlet temperature.

Accurate cooling-water temperature monitoring is an important part of operating the original T500 system. Therefore, replacing a damaged or unreliable temperature sensor helps restore accurate temperature monitoring and allows you to correctly adjust cooling-water flow during distillation.

Monitors Cooling-Water Outlet Temperature

The temperature sensor monitors the cooling water as it leaves the T500 condenser. You can then use the displayed temperature to help adjust the cooling-water flow and maintain suitable operating conditions.

Still Spirits recommends operating the original T500 condenser with a cooling-water outlet temperature of approximately 55–65°C. As a result, an accurate and reliable temperature sensor is an important part of controlling the original T500 condenser.

Crimped Stainless Steel Probe

The sensor uses a crimped stainless steel probe designed to fit compatible original T500 condenser temperature sensor locations.

In addition, the Teflon-coated wire provides a durable connection between the probe and digital thermometer.

This replacement is particularly useful if your existing sensor has damaged wiring, a damaged probe or no longer provides reliable temperature readings.

Original T500 Replacement Sensor

This is the original-style T500 temperature sensor and should not be confused with the newer Create+ Beeping Alarm Thermometer.

Still Spirits has used different thermometer and probe arrangements across T500 generations. Therefore, compare your existing sensor and condenser connection with this replacement before ordering, particularly if you have an older T500 system.
