The Create+ Sight Glass Botanical Basket TC Kit combines a Sight Glass Botanical Basket with the components required to convert compatible DN40 or 1½ inch BSPP threaded distilling equipment to a 2 inch tri-clamp connection. As a result, owners of compatible threaded Still Spirits equipment can add the botanical basket without purchasing the adapter components separately.
The sight glass can hold up to 150g of botanicals and uses 304-grade stainless steel, borosilicate glass and high-temperature resistant food-grade silicone components.
Botanical Basket and Threaded Adapter in One Kit
This TC Kit combines two useful Create+ accessories into one package.
Firstly, the Threaded Adapter Set converts a compatible DN40 or 1½ inch BSPP threaded connection to a 2 inch tri-clamp connection.
Then, the Sight Glass Botanical Basket connects to the converted equipment using its 2 inch tri-clamp ferrules.
Therefore, this kit provides a convenient solution for owners of compatible threaded equipment who want to move into the modular Create+ 2 inch tri-clamp system.
Sight Glass and Botanical Basket
The clear borosilicate glass allows you to visually monitor the distillation vapour path when using the unit as a sight glass.
Alternatively, install the supplied mesh filters to convert it into a botanical basket.
When configured as a botanical basket, the sight glass holds up to 150g of botanicals. Therefore, it provides a practical way to introduce botanicals into suitable distilling setups when producing gin and other botanical spirit styles.
Convert Threaded Equipment to 2 Inch Tri-Clamp
The supplied adapter components convert compatible DN40 or 1½ inch BSPP threaded distilling equipment to a 2 inch tri-clamp connection.
As a result, compatible older equipment can connect with suitable Create+ and other 2 inch tri-clamp distilling accessories.
This makes the TC Kit particularly useful for owners who already have compatible threaded Still Spirits equipment but want to add newer Create+ accessories.
Compatible with Older Still Spirits Equipment
The Create+ Sight Glass Botanical Basket TC Kit can connect the botanical basket to suitable threaded Still Spirits T500 or Alembic equipment through the supplied adapter.
However, compatibility depends on the age and configuration of the existing equipment.
Most importantly, this kit is only suitable for use with Still Spirits Alembic Copper Condensers sold from 2019 onwards.
Therefore, confirm the compatibility of older Alembic equipment before assembly.
Compatible with Create+ Equipment
Once converted to a 2 inch tri-clamp connection, the adapter can integrate compatible equipment with accessories throughout the Create+ range.
The standalone Create+ Sight Glass Botanical Basket Set is also available for customers who already have a suitable 2 inch tri-clamp setup and do not require the threaded conversion components.
Meanwhile, additional Create+ 2 Inch Tri-Clamps are available separately when extra connections are required.
304-Grade Stainless Steel and Borosilicate Glass
The TC Kit combines 304-grade stainless steel components with a durable borosilicate glass sight glass.
In addition, the threaded conversion components use high-temperature resistant food-grade silicone.
Together, these materials provide a durable modular connection between compatible threaded distilling equipment and the botanical basket.
Equipment Load Limits
The threaded adapter components are designed primarily for small to medium-sized distilling setups without excessively heavy or off-centre attachments.
When used with a compatible Still Spirits Boiler 25 L lid or Alembic Dome, the assembled equipment should remain within the manufacturer’s specified limits.
These limits include:
- Total column and condenser height up to 1.1m from the boiler lid or dome
- Total column and condenser weight up to 11kg
- Up to 2kg of off-centre weight from a swan neck, lyne arm or condenser running parallel with the column
- Maximum off-centre distance of 160mm from the main column
Therefore, always consider the complete height, weight and balance of the assembled equipment before operation.

Important Compatibility Information
The Create+ Sight Glass Botanical Basket TC Kit is only suitable for use with Still Spirits Alembic Copper Condensers sold from 2019 onwards.
In addition, the threaded adapter components must remain within the specified height, weight and off-centre load limits when fitted to compatible equipment.
