Air Still Fermentation Kit

Description

The Air Still Fermentation Kit contains the ingredients needed to produce approximately 8 L of cleared wash for distillation. Designed for use with the Still Spirits Air Still and Air Still Pro, this convenient kit makes preparing a neutral wash simple and straightforward.

The kit combines Pure Turbo Yeast, yeast nutrients, Turbo Carbon and Turbo Clear. Together, these ingredients support fermentation and help remove unwanted compounds before distillation.

Ideal for home distillers using compact distillation equipment, this kit provides a convenient solution for small-batch spirit making. Simply add sugar and water to prepare your next wash.

Air Still Fermentation Kit Contents

• 1 × 10 g Pure Turbo Yeast
• 1 × 78 g Pure Turbo Yeast Nutrient
• 1 × 65 g Turbo Clear
• 1 × 54 g Turbo Carbon

Sugar and water are required separately.

Mixing Instructions

1. Clean and sanitise your fermenter thoroughly before use.
2. Prepare 7.5 L of water at approximately 30°C.
3. Dissolve 2.4 kg of dextrose in the water, stirring until completely dissolved.
4. Next, add the Pure Turbo Yeast and Pure Turbo Yeast Nutrient sachets.
5. Gently massage the Turbo Carbon sachet before pouring its contents into the wash. Stir well.
6. Leave the fermenter at approximately 18–24°C for around 7 days, or until fermentation is complete.
7. Check the wash with a hydrometer. Fermentation is complete when the specific gravity is at or below 0.990 and remains stable for two consecutive days.
8. Stir the wash vigorously to remove dissolved gas. Once degassed, add Turbo Clear Part A and stir well. Leave to stand for 1 hour.
9. Slowly add Turbo Clear Part B while stirring gently. Stop stirring once all of Part B has been added.
10. Finally, leave the wash to clear for 24 hours. Carefully remove the clear wash, leaving any sediment behind.

You should finish with approximately 8 L of cleared wash ready for distillation.

Ingredients & Allergens

Pure Turbo Yeast: Dried yeast and emulsifier (E491).

Pure Turbo Yeast Nutrient: Yeast nutrient, bentonite, silicon dioxide, vitamins, trace minerals and antifoaming agent.

Turbo Carbon: Water, activated carbon, thickener (E415) and preservative (sodium metabisulphite).

Turbo Clear Part A: Silica solution.

Turbo Clear Part B: Water, acid (malic acid), chitosan (crustaceans) and preservative (sodium metabisulphite).

Allergen information: Contains sulphites and crustaceans.
