Designed and manufactured in Tasmania, Australia, the Output Cooler replaces the standard output arm on the Pure Distilling Reflux Condenser. Therefore, it provides a simple and practical upgrade to your existing setup.
Reduce Evaporation Loss
Hot spirit can evaporate as it leaves the condenser. However, the Output Cooler rapidly reduces the temperature of the spirit before collection. As a result, less spirit can escape as vapour during your run.
According to Pure Distilling, the Output Cooler can help capture up to an additional 250ml of 93% spirit during a run. Therefore, it can help you get more finished product from each batch.
More Accurate Alcometer Readings
Alcohol readings change with temperature. For example, hot spirit can give a different alcometer reading than the same spirit at the correct testing temperature. Therefore, cooling the spirit as it exits the condenser makes it easier to obtain accurate readings.
In addition, the cooler output means you do not need to wait as long for collected spirit to cool before taking a reading. Because of this, there is also less need to rely on temperature correction charts.
Easy Installation
Installation is quick and requires no special tools. Simply unscrew the existing output arm and fit the Output Cooler finger-tight.
The supplied short connection hose connects the cooler to the existing condenser water setup. As a result, you can add the Output Cooler without making major changes to your equipment.
