Description

The Still Spirits Air Still Pro combines reflux and pot still operation in one compact, air-cooled distilling system. Switch between producing clean neutral spirit at up to 90% ABV in reflux mode and flavourful or botanical-infused spirits at up to 80% ABV in pot still mode.

With a 4 litre boiler, built-in reflux condenser, purpose-built botanical basket and automatic foreshots collection, the system provides impressive versatility without requiring an external cooling water supply.

You can also use it to produce distilled water and hydrosols.

Two Distilling Modes in One System

The Air Still Pro gives you a choice between reflux mode and pot still mode by using the supplied easy-swap distillation tips.

In reflux mode, the system can produce clean neutral alcohol at up to approximately 90% ABV before dilution. This makes it ideal for producing a neutral base for vodka-style spirits or your choice of spirit flavourings.

Pot still mode retains more flavour and character from the wash. It can produce distillate at up to approximately 80% ABV before dilution, making it suitable for flavourful spirit styles.

In addition, the supplied botanical basket lets you experiment with botanical-infused spirits such as gin-style recipes.

Air-Cooled Distillation

Unlike many reflux stills that require a continuous cooling water supply, the Air Still Pro uses its own built-in air-cooled condenser.

Therefore, you don’t need to connect cooling water hoses or maintain a separate water flow during operation.

This makes the system particularly convenient where access to cooling water is limited. It also keeps the overall setup compact and straightforward.

Automatic Foreshots Collection

A built-in collection system automatically captures the first 30ml of distillate in the supplied glass foreshots collection vial.

This makes it easy to separate and discard the collected foreshots without requiring additional collection steps.

Two glass foreshots collection vials come with the system.

Built-In Botanical Basket

The purpose-built botanical basket expands the range of spirits you can create.

When operating in the appropriate mode, you can use botanicals to introduce your chosen aromas and flavours into the vapour path during distillation.

As a result, one compact system can handle neutral spirit production as well as flavourful and botanical-infused spirit styles.

Compact 4 Litre Boiler

The 4 litre capacity makes the system particularly well suited to small-batch distillation.

From a 4 litre wash, it can yield approximately 1.1 litres of alcohol at 40% ABV, depending on the wash and operating conditions.

Its compact dimensions also make the complete unit easier to store between runs compared with larger boiler and column systems.

Automatic Operation and Protection

The Air Still Pro includes an automatic shut-off in reflux mode.

It also features automatic dry-boil shutdown, providing additional protection during operation.

Together with the automatic foreshots collection system, these features help simplify the distillation process while still giving you the flexibility to choose between reflux and pot still operation.

Inverter Requirements

The Australian Air Still Pro operates at 240V AC / 340W.

When using an inverter, Still Spirits recommends a unit rated at 700W or greater, with an output voltage range between 220V and 240V AC.

Solar Energy Requirements

The system consumes approximately 340Wh per hour at 240V AC.

Depending on the operating mode, a run can take up to approximately six hours. Therefore, total energy consumption can reach approximately 2040Wh over a six-hour run.
