Create+ T500 Pro Column & Condenser

Description

The Create+ T500 Pro Column & Condenser is an all-in-one reflux column and condenser designed for producing clean, high-purity neutral spirit. Its modular construction combines a T2-grade copper column, detachable product condenser and removable cold finger cooling coil with secure 2 inch tri-clamp connections.

The column comes pre-packed with copper and stainless steel saddles to provide the surface area required for effective reflux distillation. As a result, the T500 Pro can produce spirit at up to 93% ABV before dilution and recover up to 95% of the alcohol from the wash under suitable operating conditions.

Therefore, the resulting neutral spirit is ideal for vodka-style spirits or as a clean base for spirit flavourings, gin and other botanical spirits.

T2-Grade Copper Column

The T500 Pro column and cold finger coil are manufactured from high-quality T2-grade copper, while stainless steel tri-clamp ferrules provide durable modular connections.

Copper within the spirit path reacts with unwanted sulphur compounds during distillation. Therefore, its use throughout the column helps support the production of a cleaner, smoother neutral spirit.

In addition, there are no plastic components within the spirit path, while food-grade high-temperature silicone seals are used at the tri-clamp connections.

Pre-Packed Reflux Column

The T500 Pro arrives pre-packed with approximately 105g of copper saddles and 485g of stainless steel saddles.

The copper packing helps remove unwanted sulphur compounds, while the stainless steel saddles provide a large surface area for the repeated condensation and evaporation required during reflux distillation.

Modular 2 Inch Tri-Clamp Design

Robust 2 inch tri-clamp connections allow the T500 Pro components to be securely assembled while maintaining a modular design.

The product condenser is detachable, while the cold finger cooling coil can also be removed. Consequently, the system provides greater flexibility for cleaning, maintenance and compatible Create+ configurations.

Temperature Monitoring

An integrated thermowell is positioned at the top of the column for accurate vapour temperature monitoring.

In addition, the supplied beeping alarm thermometer features adjustable high and low temperature alerts. Therefore, you can monitor changes in vapour temperature throughout the distillation process without continuously watching the thermometer display.

Improved Water Efficiency

The T500 Pro has been designed to use up to 30% less cooling water than the original T500, depending on the setup and operating conditions.

When used with the Create+ Water Flow Regulator, for example, average cooling water consumption is approximately 140 litres per 25 litre distillation.

Performance

When used with the Create+ Boiler 25 L and a suitable wash, the T500 Pro can distil at up to 93% ABV before dilution.

Using a standard 25 litre Turbo Classic 8 Production Pack wash prepared with 8kg of sugar, the system can produce approximately 8 litres at 40% ABV after dilution.

However, actual yield and purity can vary depending on the wash, fermentation, operating conditions and distillation technique.

Compatibility

The T500 Pro Column & Condenser is compatible with the Create+ Boiler 25 L.

In addition, it is compatible with Grainfather G30, G40 and G70 Brewing Systems, providing additional options for compatible distilling setups.
